A 3-day KIX Asia global meeting was organized where Pakistan, Nepal and Canadian women for Afghan women gathered together to talk about our project “School leaders as agents of change towards equity and inclusion”.
The meeting brought together research teams from prestigious institutions including the Digital Learning Research Lab of Kathmandu University (Nepal), The Open University (UK), Allama Iqbal Open University (Pakistan), Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan (Canada), and the Foundation for Information Technology-Education and Development Inc. (Philippines). Each participant brought unique perspectives and expertise to the table, enriching the discussions and outcomes of the gathering.
Supported by funding from the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) Canada under the theme GPE-KIX, the meeting aimed to advance knowledge sharing and collaboration in critical areas of research and development. The partners engaged in fruitful discussions, sharing insights, best practices, and innovative approaches towards addressing pressing scaling challenges.
During the 3-day workshop we worked on consolidating evidence , review and reflection of our project where we also discussed the scaling model for the knowledge dissemination. The discussions also included GESI (Gender Equality And Social Inclusion) in the scaling model. The core discussion of these meetings was Equity and Inclusion where School leaders in every school act as a change agent for their school and work towards equity and inclusion.. Additionally, there’s an emphasis on compiling country-specific knowledge outputs and documenting the capacity-building efforts undertaken by project teams. The meeting also provides an opportunity for reflecting on project experiences and learnings to inform the final technical report for submission to KIX.
